Happy Anniversary Eric and Iris!!

Going to the Assiniboine Zoo today, and the Spaghetti Factory tonight!

**Forgot to mention, we now know what the image on the back of the $10 bill is

Zoo was cool. They have a Churchill enclosure which looks similar to Ripley’s, but all the polar bears were outside of it. Got a shot of the seals in it. The gibbons were cool and so loud, and their animatron dinosaurs were really good. I took a video of every dinosaur (there must have been about 15 of them!)

Took Nala back down to The Forks and did the self-guided Parks Canada tour of the area. It’s really windy this afternoon. Not sure if that’s normal for this part of the country. The fork of the Red and Assiniboine Rivers has been a meeting place for indigenous people for 6000 years, amd where Louis Riel lead his resistance against the government.

The Forks Market from last night (outside) – Muskoka chairs facing the fork in the river to the left
